Meredith Food Swap is being held on the 3rd Saturday of each month at the Back Creek Cafe in Meredith, 9:30 am to 11:30 am, with the first swap happening on Saturday, 20th July.
What's it all about?
Do you have excess produce you would like to share? Would you like to make new friends and chat over a cuppa? Then come along to the Meredith Food Swap where you will meet like-minded people and share gardening stories and advice.
Bring along your surplus fruit and veggies, herbs, flowers, seeds, seedlings or worm juice. Even if you are just starting out on your gardening journey, you can bring along seasonal recipes, homemade preserves, live cultures (scoby, sourdough starter), egg cartons, clean glass jars or baked goodies. Or just bring yourself and make new friends and learn from the experience of others. Basically, anything that is surplus to you that you are happy to give away or swap.
Find out what your neighbours are growing, solutions to those pesky garden pests and swap for anything you don't grow or make yourself.
Come along and chat over a cuppa and make some new friends. Look forward to seeing you there!!
